Nogal Canyon

I scratched this plate sitting in an arroyo in Nogal Canyon while on a camping trip with friends. This was near the windmill if you ever wanted to find the exact spot it would be down canyon from the windmill in the arroyo.

Intaglio drypoint print of a layered rock formation with curved, ridged strata and a gnarled tree growing from its top, hand-colored with burnt orange along the ground line at the base of the cliff.

Second print of the Nogal Canyon drypoint in black ink without hand-coloring, showing the same layered canyon rock formation and tree in a slightly different impression with softer tonal values.
